We are delighted to welcome two facilities from PJ Care to our INPA membership.
PJ Care was founded in 2000 by registered nurse Jan Flawn CBE, to better meet the needs of people with specialist neurological conditions. Since then, the company has grown into a successful, independently owned UK business that remains family-run. Today, PJ Care is recognised as a leading provider of specialist neurological care rehabilitation for working-age adults and older adults, respected for delivering the highest quality and exacting standards.
As part of their portfolio, PJ Care run two neurological care centres, Mallard House in Milton Keynes and Eagle Wood in Peterborough. Their specialist teams support individuals who have a diagnosed neurological condition such as dementia, Functional Neurological Disorder, Acquired Brain Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease and Motor Neuron Disease.
They are also able to support people who require Neuro rehabilitation due to Stroke, Functional Neurological Disorder, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain-Barré syndrome and Spinal Cord Injuries.
The units are led by an in house multi-disciplinary team meeting the physical, communicative, cognitive, behavioural and psychosocial needs of those with complex neurological disabilities. Their on-site team includes Neuropsychologists, a Neuropsychiatrist, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Nutritionists, who together deliver truly individualised and flexible care pathways.
Director of Operations and Registered Manager Shaun O’Gara told us:
“Joining INPA is a transformative step for us, reflecting our dedication to excellence in neurorehabilitation. At Mallard House in Milton Keynes and Eagle Wood in Peterborough, we pride ourselves on offering exceptional services tailored to each resident’s needs. Being part of INPA allows us to collaborate with a network of professionals who share our mission to enhance resident outcomes and advance the field of neurorehabilitation.”
We welcome Shaun and his team and look forward to working together and supporting them in the great work they do.
