In recognition of the evolving needs of the neurorehabilitation sector and following a review of our membership framework in 2025, we are delighted to announce changes to our membership categories which allow us to offer increased support to providers and those who champion this vital area within the UK healthcare industry.

These new categories open the door to a wider range of providers and partners, strengthening our collective voice, improving collaboration and enriching the expertise within our communities.

Our broader Membership Framework

The updated membership structure now comprises three distinct categories with a total of seven membership types. This new structure reflects the diversity of providers working across both inpatient and community settings and the different stages of development and growth of these providers. We have also added a new category for suppliers to the industry.

In-Patient Category
• In Patient Full Membership – for established organisations offering comprehensive neurorehabilitation services.
• In Patient Associate Membership – for services that are newly established or developing towards full membership standards.

Community Category
• Community On-Site Membership – for providers delivering multidisciplinary services from a physical base.
• Community Domiciliary Membership – for providers delivering therapy and rehabilitation in an individual’s own environment.
• Community On-Site Associate Membership – for community-based services not yet meeting full membership criteria.
• Community Domiciliary Associate Membership – for domiciliary services in the early stages of operation or development.

Partner Membership
• This is our newest category, welcoming organisations that supply goods and services to the neurorehabilitation sector. Examples include providers of moving and handling solutions, neurotechnology, communication aids, orthotics, and wheelchairs.

Partner Members play an important role in supporting neurological facilities and as such warrant a voice in our organisation. We hope that our partners will share innovations and insights adding additional expertise and industry know-how, contributing to knowledge exchange across the membership base.

Strengthening the Neurorehabilitation Community

By broadening membership, we are creating a more diverse network that better reflects those who play key roles in the neurorehabilitation sector. We believe our collaborative approach will further support innovative ways of working, improve pathways of care, and ensure that those living with neurological conditions continue to receive the very best support available. The ultimate aim of INPA and that of our members.
