We are delighted to welcome our latest INPA member, Enable Care.

Based in Sewardstone, North London, Enable Care provides specialist nursing care and rehabilitation services for people who are living with an acquired brain injury (ABI) and other neurological conditions, who need support and assistance, or the ability to rebuild key life skills so they can lead fulfilling and rewarding lives.

1 Sewardstone Close, (1SC) is Enable’s flagship service and is accredited by Headway, the brain injury association as an ‘approved provider’. The modern, purpose-built home is fully equipped to provide rehabilitation and nursing care in an environment that is focused on increasing independence. There is an expert team of clinicians, therapists and rehabilitation assistants to ensure residents receive the very best care that ensures they achieve their goals.

The facility provides a home for residents between the ages of 18 and 65 years with an ABI or other complex neurological conditions. The service is aimed at those who have completed their acute rehabilitation and now require further care and rehabilitation in a non-clinical setting.

High quality nursing and expert clinical teams are able to support and manage a variety of complex needs, offering services to people with different levels of physical or cognitive ability.

Marie Goodwin is the Manager at 1SC.  She is passionate about providing high quality care for those living with a brain injury and recognising the potential in everyone, no matter how small. She believes in supporting families that are affected by brain injury and really making a difference to their lives.

Marie’s vision for 1SC is that it continues to be a beacon of best practice in the field of acquired brain injury and as a team they continue to work to achieve outstanding levels of high-quality rehabilitation, care and support that leads the standard across the sector.

“I personally believe that membership with INPA helps to distinguish ABI services that are meeting the required industry standards which is what sets us apart from other providers.

It is important to be part of a member group that shares the same values and goals for the future of ABI care.  Where the emphasis is not just on making a difference but being the difference. INPA membership provides a great platform for ABI providers, to share their experiences and collective knowledge to help drive forward positive changes.”

1SC joins INPA’s growing membership base of 18 specialist UK providers who offer health, social care and rehabilitation for people affected by acquired or traumatic brain injury and those with long-term neurological conditions.

By having a collective voice, INPA ensures the views and perspectives of independent neurorehabilitation providers are heard within the sector.
